Cutting-Edge Solutions for Electric Forklift and Towing Tractor Applications

PMP offers customers solutions for today and for the future. The integration of electric and hydrostatic drives with Power Transmission division gearboxes embodies the PMP Integra philosophy: to provide complete, state-of-the-art solutions and to benefit from the integration of multiple technologies. Integra represents a comprehensive approach to business, with strategic alliances between PMP's research and development department and in-house training academy, created in collaboration with leading research laboratories and universities.

Drive for innovation, right from the start

PMP’s PMS product range has been an industry standard since its introduction in the 1990’s and continues to provide innovative solutions for electric forklift and electric towing tractor applications worldwide. While some may argue low voltage AC technology has been mature since 2001, PMP continues innovating within the market space, with electric motor drives capable of up to 10.000 rpm, while achieving market leading efficiency and noise performance. Further, the scalable integration of higher efficiency and productivity technologies – such as Assisted Reluctance Permanent Magnet (ASRPM) motors provides OEM’s the option of selecting the optimum technology for their customer needs.

Integra combines vision and benefits into action. The compact, integrated controller design reduces assembly labor and allows optimization of machine design. Further, integration of the controller reduces part count and cost of the full electric powertrain; fewer parts also provide savings via less inventory and lower supply chain management costs. Other benefits can be less obvious – for example integration of power controller brings lower EMF noise to manage within the vehicle architecture and the efficiency of the high capability ASRPM technology can be optimized even further due to the higher control system rigidity with the integrated power controller.

The best user experience for higher performances

The DigiMix platform represents another example of Integra in action, providing a digital solution for concrete mixer drive systems, enabling mixer trucks to advanced capabilities and no changes required in driver interaction with the truck or user interface. DigiMix enables this easier, safer, more productive, and lower cost mixer truck system while providing the OEM a simple, low complexity path to do so.

DigiMix provides a fully integrated control system within the drum drive pump, eliminating the need for a separate controller utilizing multiple harnesses; thereby integrating the pump into the mixer

truck control system with only a single harness. The OEM can then achieve a concrete delivery vehicle with advanced capabilities compatible with legacy user interfaces and operator expectations with low development complexity and investment.

Simplified operation and comprehensive real-time control

DigiMix grants mixer manufacturers and their customers the capability of simplified vehicle operation - enabling drum speed profiles based upon the specific job requirements of mix type, delivery routes, and specific customer site needs. Producers are afforded faster and easier batching and delivery cycles. DigiMix system delivers the right drum speed across the route profile at the right time - providing the right level of aeration, agitation, and slump.

DigiMix is a telematics ready platform, with capability of monitoring and communicating drum drive system status, including speed, temperature, and route times. When coupled with GPS solutions, DigiMix offers the fleet owner a complete picture of the mixer truck’s workday and productivity - supplying data enabling higher profitability.

Uptime is a key component of fleet management and unplanned downtime significantly impacts both operating costs and job scheduling predictability DigiMix provides a foundation to deliver actionable, advance feedback to fleet owners and service managers to detect and address non-optimized system performance early – allowing fleet managers to schedule troubleshooting and advance maintenance. On-pump diagnostic LED indicators, a Bluetooth enabled app on a mobile device, or cloud-enabled channels, provide a straightforward path to predictive maintenance schedules - curtailing costly unbudgeted downtime.

PMP will be at Excon (Bangalore, India, 12-16th, December) the most important tradeshow for the Construction Industry in South Asia and Agritechnica in Hannover (Germany, 12 - 18th, November) and is always interested to learn more how we can add value to our customers.
